Steps We Take to Safeguard Your Information

We maintain reasonable administrative, physical and technological measures to protect the confidentiality and security of personal information you submit on or through this Website. Unfortunately, no website, server or database is completely secure or “hacker proof.” We therefore cannot guarantee that your personal information will not be disclosed, misused or lost by accident or by the unauthorized acts of others. How We Share Information with Others

With Third–Party Vendors. W2G shares information collected through this Website with third-party vendors who act on our behalf. For example, we may use third-party vendors to design and operate this Website and to help us with our promotional efforts. These third-party vendors may need information about you to perform their obligations. Typically, they are required by contract to keep your information confidential and to use it only to provide services on our behalf; however, as described below, we may allow them to use aggregate or de-identified data for their own purposes or to market the products and services of their other clients.

With Other, Carefully Selected Business Partners. From time to time, we may share your information with selected third parties for their own marketing purposes. For example, we may partner with third parties to sponsor contests or other promotions, and we may share with these third parties the information you submit to us to participate in the contest or take advantage of the promotion. Before doing so, however, we may offer you the opportunity to “opt out” or “opt in,” as required by applicable law.

As Part of a Business Transfer. Your information may be transferred to successor organization if, for example, we transfer the ownership or operation of this Website to another organization if we merge with or are acquired by another organization, or if we liquidate our assets. If such a transfer occurs, the successor organization’s use of your information will still be subject to this Notice and the privacy preferences you have expressed to us.

To Comply With Laws and Protection of Our Rights and the Rights of Others. Children Under the Age of Thirteen

W2G believes in protecting the privacy of children online (we define “children” as minors younger than 13). In compliance with the requirements of Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (COPPA), we do not seek to, nor do we knowingly collect or use any personal information from children without explicit parental consent. we do not knowingly allow children to become subscribers, make submissions, register with us, order our products or services, communicate with us, or use any of our online services. This Website may provide links to other websites operated by third parties, including in some cases our third-party vendors. W2G does not control these websites and is not responsible for their data practices. Any information you provide to third parties on their websites is covered under their privacy and data collection policies and is not covered by this Notice. Additional Notice for California and Virginia Consumers
This part of our Privacy Notice applies to consumers who reside in the State of California and applies to the personal information collected by Ware2Go.

Personal Information We Collect about California and Virginia Consumers

We describe the personal information we have collected from consumers in the twelve (12) months preceding the effective date of this Privacy Notice in the part of our Privacy Notice titled, “Types of Information We Collect.” The information we have obtained includes the following:

  • Identifiers such as a real name, postal address, unique personal identifier, online identifier, Internet Protocol address, email address, account/username, or other similar identifiers.
  • The following categories of personal information described in California Civil Code§1798.80(e): (1) the personal information listed in the preceding bullet point as “identifiers,” (2) signature, (3) telephone number, (4) employment, (5) payment information (including payment card details or online payment services number and invoicing address) and financial information (such as bank account numbers), and (5) the other information that identifies, relates to, describes, or is capable of being associated with, a particular individual that we describe in “Types of Personal Information We Collect.”
  • Commercial information, including records of personal property, products or services purchased, obtained, or considered, billing address, shipping address, or other purchasing or consuming histories or tendencies.
  • Internet or other electronic network activity information, including, but not limited to, browsing history, the type of browser you are using to access the website, search history, and information regarding a consumer’s interaction with an Internet website, application, or advertisement.
  • Audio recordings from calls placed to the Ware2Go Support Center and electronic information in the form of Internet or other electronic network activity information as described above.
  • Professional or employment-related information including business content or service specialty areas and business contact information such as name, title, company name, physical address, email address, telephone number, and facsimile number.
  • Inferences drawn from (1) information we collect when you visit our website, including interacting with Ware2Go-related tools, widgets or plug-ins and (2) information we collect about consumer preferences and behavior that we collect on our website, including from third parties, to create a profile of our website users’ preferences, characteristics, psychological trends, predispositions, behavior, and attitudes.
  • Sensitive personal information such as (1) account login information allowing access to Ware2Go services, and (2) information used to pay for Ware2Go services.

For each of these categories, we collect this personal information from a variety of sources including yourself through online interactions you may have with us or our service providers; other entities with whom you transact; and others with whom you maintain relationships who may deal with us on your behalf. Please see “Types of Information We Collect,” which further describes the collection of personal information from the devices you use to access our websites and online services. Additionally, we collect personal information marketing and analytics providers; social media platforms; and others consistent with this Privacy Notice.

Disclosures of Personal Information for Monetary or Other Valuable Consideration or for Business Purposes

As is a common practice among businesses that operate Internet Web sites, within the twelve (12) months preceding the effective date of this Privacy Notice, we have disclosed identifiers listed above, commercial information, network and/or website activity collected by cookies and similar technology, and inferences drawn from your use of our services to our social media and analytics and analytics providers for monetary or other valuable consideration.  These disclosures may qualify as “sales” of personal information under California or Virginia law or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law.

We do not disclose personal information of individuals we know to be under the age of 16 to businesses or third parties for monetary or other valuable consideration as a “sale” under California law, without affirmative authorization.

We have disclosed personal information in all the categories identified in this “Additional Notice for California and Virginia Consumers” for various business purposes within the last 12 months. For more information about the categories of personal information we have disclosed, the categories of entities with which we have disclosed this information and the purposes for which we have disclosed the information, please see “How We Share Information With Others.”

Use of Personal Information about California or Virginia Consumers

We use the personal information we collect about California and Virginia consumers for the business purposes disclosed within the section of this Notice entitled “How We Use Information Collected Through This Website” and for the following purposes:

  • Auditing related to counting ad impressions to unique visitors, verifying positioning and quality of ad impressions, and auditing compliance with this specification and other standards;
  • Helping to ensure security and integrity to the extent the use of a consumer’s personal information is reasonably necessary and proportionate for these purposes;
  • Audits and reporting relating to particular transactions and interactions, including online interactions, you may have with us or others on our behalf;
  • Detecting and protecting against security incidents, and malicious, deceptive, fraudulent or illegal activity, and prosecuting the same;
  • Debugging to identify and repair errors in our systems;
  • Short-term, transient use including non-personalized advertising shown as part of a consumer’s current interaction with us;
  • Providing services on our behalf or on behalf of another, including maintaining or servicing accounts, providing customer service, fulfilling transactions, verifying identity information, processing payments, and other services. This includes:
    • Conducting internal research to develop and demonstrate technology; and
    • Conducting activity to verify, enhance, and maintain the quality or safety of services or devices which we may own, control, or provide.

We may also use the information we collect for our own or our service providers’ other operational purposes, purposes for which we provide you additional notice, purposes disclosed elsewhere in this Addendum, or for purposes compatible with the context in which the personal information was collected.  

Ware2Go does not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics relating to consumers. Ware2Go only processes sensitive information for the following purposes:

  • Account login information allowing access to Ware2Go services;
  • Information used to pay for Ware2Go services.

Your Privacy Rights

If you are a California or Virginia resident, you may have one or more of the following rights. We will honor requests received to the extent required by applicable law and within the time provided by law.

Right to Know

You have the right to request that we disclose to you the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you. Specifically, you have the right to request that we disclose what personal information we collect, use, disclose, and sell, including:

  • Whether we are processing personal information about you;
  • Specific pieces of information that we have collected about you;
  • Categories of personal information we have collected about you;
  • Categories of sources from which the personal information is collected;
  • Categories of third parties to whom we disclose personal information; 
  • The business or commercial purpose for collecting or selling or sharing personal information; 
  • Categories of personal information about you, if any, that we have sold or shared and the categories of third parties to whom we have sold or shared the information, by category or categories of personal information for each category of third party to whom we sold or shared the personal information; and
  • Categories of personal information about you that we disclosed for a business purpose and the categories of recipients to whom we disclosed the information for a business purpose.

As used above, “sale,” “sold,” “selling,” “shared,” and “sharing” have the meanings provided in the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 and the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act, each as amended.

We will deliver personal information that we are required by law to disclose to you in the manner required by law within 45 days after receipt of a verifiable request, unless we notify you that we require additional time to respond, in which case we will respond within such additional period of time required by law. We may deliver the personal information to you through your account, if you maintain an account with Ware2Go, or electronically or by mail at your option. If electronically, then we will deliver the information in a portable and, to the extent technically feasible, in a readily useable format that allows you to transmit the information from one entity to another without hindrance.

Right to Correct 

You have the right to request that we correct inaccurate personal information that we have collected about you.

Right to Deletion

You have the right to request that we delete personal information about you that we have collected from you. Please note if you have requested a service that requires the use of your personal information, we may not be able to provide that service if you choose to delete your personal information.

Right to Opt Out

You have the right to opt out of the disclosure of personal information about you for monetary or other valuable consideration, the sharing of personal information about you for cross-context behavioral advertising, and targeted advertising. Ware2Go’s website supports the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser standard. If we receive and are able to process a GPC signal from your browser indicating your preference to opt out from sales or sharing of personal information, as defined by law, then we will apply that preference to personal information we collect from that device, provided that we may not be able to associate the signal to the same device if:

  • you use a different web browser or other tool to interact with us, 
  • you make changes to your browser (e.g., uninstall and reinstall or certain types of upgrades) that impact our ability to associate the device with the signal your device originally sent, or 
  • you clear cookies or browsing data from your browser or device in a way that impacts our ability to associate the device with the signal your device originally sent.  

Please note that a signal sent from one device will not apply to other devices you use or to data that we collect from you through other sources.

Right to Appeal 

If you are a Virginia resident and we decline to take action on a request that you make in accordance with the foregoing to exercise the foregoing privacy rights, then you may appeal our decision by submitting an appeals request through the Ware2Go website’s Privacy Form.

Verification Process

For requests made in connection with the Right to Know, Right to Correct, and/or Right to Delete, please note that required or permitted under applicable law, we may take steps to verify your identity before granting you access to information or acting on your request to exercise your rights, as required or permitted by law. We may require you to provide the following information to verify your identity in response to exercising requests of the above type: email address, and Ware2Go license id number. If we believe we need further information to verify your request as required by law, we may ask you to provide additional information to us.  We may limit our response to your exercise of the above rights as permitted by law.

Non-Discrimination

We may not discriminate against you because of your exercise of any of the foregoing rights, or any other rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act or the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act, including by:

  • Denying you goods or services;
  • Charging different prices or rates for goods or services, including through the use of discounts or other benefits or imposing penalties;
  • Providing you a different level or quality of goods or services; or
  • Suggesting that you will receive a different price or rate for goods or services or a different level or quality of goods or services.

We may, however, charge different prices or rates, or provide a different level or quality of goods or services, if that difference is reasonably related to the value provided to Ware2Go by your personal information. We may limit our response to your exercise of rights as permitted by law.

Authorized Agent

You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. You may make such a designation by providing the agent with written permission to act on your behalf. We may require: 

  • The authorized agent to provide proof that you provided the authorized agent signed permission to submit the request;
  • You to verify your identity directly with us;
  • You to directly confirm with us that you provided the authorized agent permission to submit the request.

Data Retention

Your personal information will not be stored for longer than necessary for the purposes for which they were collected or as required under applicable retention policies and/or in accordance with applicable law.  Our retention policies reflect local statute of limitation periods and national statutory obligations of W2G.

Data Sharing for Direct Marketing Purposes (California)

California Civil Code Section § 1798.83 permits California residents to request certain information regarding our disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. If you are a California resident, you may ask us to refrain from sharing your personal information with certain of our affiliates and other third parties for their marketing purposes.
